Thrifted Bag Finds

I've managed to thrift shop a bit these past days and while I was in Phnom Penh. Got a few pieces of bags that I found interesting although I must say it's getting harder and harder to chance upon an amazing find. But I still like what I got.

A Marc by Marc Jacobs 'shopper' bag with Yves Saint Laurent key chain. Both at 50cents each.

This field pack canvas sac has been my everyday bag since I found it. So functional and practical to use. It's in the washer now just to refresh it clean.

A Missoni tote that's perfect for summer. I use it when I go to the pool to carry water, sun block and magazines.

A roomy Y'saacs tote bag. A classic shape in leather trimmed nylon material. Very Yohji Yamamoto.

A wonderful shape from Lowry's Farm in canvas cotton. Haven't used this yet.

And two Porter bags, one in brown that's a computer bag and the other a small handheld one in black canvas. Amazing quality and feels so sturdy. Minimal and utilitarian all the way. I love!

Have you been thrifting lately?

Phnom Penh Thrifting

I was in Phnom Penh recently and as expected I went thrifting. It's something you would totally expect from me, right? There wasn't much that I got this time but I still found some really interesting pieces to add to my collection.

My best find is this Y's by Yohji Yamamoto jacket.

At 50cents it's such a really, really good bargain, right? I'm so happy to find this.

This Nicole for Men top has a very interesting texture.

I love the distressed fabric and the web-y nature of it.

There's something genius about Margaret Howell and how I'm attracted to her quiet sense of grace and approach to design. I've got a few of her jackets, shirts and cardigan and it's just a staple go-to for me when I'm feeling like I need to be polished and grown-up without looking like my grandfather. Her style is classic but still feel young and timeless.

This jacket is giving off a very Ann Demeulemeester vibe with the color and frayed details so I picked it up.

H. Naoto is known for his gothic lolita chic street style. This bondage inspired sweater is good enough example from this designer to pass.

I also found some Zucca jackets and top but it was too expensive and plain for my taste so I let it go. I'm going back to Phnom Penh again and probably that time I'll find a more substantial amount of pieces to collect. I wish I find more Yohji Yamamoto and Comme des Garcons for my collection.

Julius in SR

My friend Julius is here in Siem Reap for a vacacion grande. Like it started from Bali to Phuket to Manila to Bangkok and here, non-stop.

I thought it would be nice to give him a Blue Pumpkin welcome so we had lunch there.

While in Bali my friends and I decided we should seriously start dieting and really develop our physique to be more beach ready. Hence, the order of tofu salad...

and Amok Ravioli (although the cream and carbs of this dish isn't gonna help in our quest, hehehe)

Plus, he got me this from Bangkok. Totally counter productive, non?

Anyway, we've tried to eliminate rice from our diet and we are logging quality time in the pool.

Mansion 7

Bangkok - A unique shopping and dining experience has opened in Bangkok with an unusual theme. Horror is the new chic in shopping!

A malevolent 'claw' welcomes everyone and a foreshadow of what to expect inside.

Inside a giant moon looms center casting its spooky glow.

The highlight is the haunted mansion that can be experienced for 180baht.

The shops and restuarants are equally unique like the mall.

From what I understand this 'apartment' was based on a popular Thai horror flick.

There's a bar lorded by gnomes.

Vintage Bangkok gets reincarnated in this cafe.

Cute packaging, non? Love the natural rope twine.

And they serve rose water. How chic is that?

I'm so happy Kawadjan went with me to check out Mansion 7. I really enjoyed our bonding moment since I don't get to talk or spend time with him that much.

Mansion 7 is located in Ratchadaphisek Road, Huay Kwang.

YOKII

The wall art got me interested as we passed by its window display.

And inside the store the yummy merchandise mingles with more art.

The clothes have interesting graphic prints in mostly cotton and jersey fabrics.

One of my fave is this cotton and printed chiffon piece.

I also like this cotton jersey tank with a very slouchy feel.

Yokii is in Seminyak, Bali.
