I've been trying to eat healthy to counter all the fatty, oily food I like so much. That's quite shocking since I was a strict vegetarian some years back. The transition from going vegan was quite abrupt and I did it without much thought. I was into it quite seriously for about a year and shifted to eating fish, thereafter. About two years ago I began eating meat, specifically pork, after being addicted to bacon and this turbo-grilled pork similar to lechon. Before I was quite a chicken eater and my vice was KFC Hot & Crispy. I seldom eat chicken now. I've never been a fan of beef except for corned beef. For now I can't say I can commit to a vegetarian diet although one remnant of that eating habit is that I still prefer drinking soya milk. Hopefully, I can transition to eating more fibres everyday if I consciously try to make it a choice.
I've been editing my wardrobe recently and I realized I'm drawn to the same looking pieces. It resulted in me having a mountain of similar looking black t-shirts, a ton of black buttondown shirts and piles of black pants. Not to mention the layering pieces I collect like scarves, trailing capes and other thinga-ma-gigs. Good thing this hot weather forced me to re-think how I dress and I'm in that stage where a more simple wardrobe appeals to me. A trimmer more focused collection of clothing is what I aim. This season it's all about simplicity for me.
What is casual chic? That was my question when I read the invite for Pedro's 3rd anniversary party. I was thinking of wearing my default uniform of jacket, shirt, pants and leather brogues but last minute switched to this quilt stitched top from Monki. Of course, since it's a shoe brand party I wanted my footwear to be something noticeable so I wore my own designed gladiator sandals.

I wanted to celebrate and thank friends for supporting me so I conceived a dinner party called Black Dinner. It's a sit-down dinner and I cooked my favorite dishes. For the first one I invited Maan, Mikee, Toefi and Eng. It was nice to dress-up, eat good food, drink wine and just have loads of laughter.
