AHA lunch

The guys down at AHA needs more practice and trial for their dishes and all. Being the kaladkarin and super nice that I am, one call from chefy and the promise of an excellent, free lunch are all it takes for me to be there pronto. I'm cheap that way, hehehe!

My first lunch in AHA

Anyhoot, I ordered a side AHA salad, mango w dried snake salad, and jasmine rice with coco sorbet

Plus! crab salad and eel stir fry. Yummy! Gosh I was so full. Goodbye diet!

Chef Cassy. She gets to have lunch with me.

moi.

Yum!

Omg! I couldn't believe this one is so delish. Promise! Chickpeas salad

Seafood curry with a very nutty taste. In fairness, I like it.

Yummy Sunday Lunch

I love our Sunday lunch. After church I get to indulge in rice and some good 'ol Ilonggo homestyle cooking. I swear my diet for the whole week goes to naught every Sunday. Apres, I take a long nap, wake-up, freshen up and go to some ukay hunt.

Bistro Lorenzo

After our ukay-ukay, Donna, hostess with mostest, treated us for lunch at Bistro Lorenzo, a Pinoy resto.

It reminded me so much of home with the mismatched, schizo decor and yellow lighting.

It's like a cheesy Pinoy restaurant trying to be chic and wordly. Parang Friday's na naging Monday's (you do get my drift).

This is Donna and and her boyfriend LJ, certified ukay junkies.

moi enjoying the food. Masarap naman in fairness. Apparently I learned they get a lot of catering services from the embassies in Phnom Penh.

Also ukay junkies, Valerie ( an ad agency girl) and Dave (tv personality and choreographer). All Pinoys in Cambodia.

Dinagyang Sunday

It was unintentional but we got "Ilonggo" that day.

Here you see Freedom enjoying his new pool.

Back home, a pool party means ihaw-ihaw!

So we grilled this large, fat 'bulgan' fish. Khmers don't usually grill their food. Our house help was not used to cooking food that way so I had to check it.

There's also grilled pork liempo for the meat eaters in the house.

Viola! Ihaw-ihaw fiesta for all of us.
