Checked out some shop in Phnom Penh. Got a few photos since most declined to have their merchandise photographed. Copying is prevalent here in Cambodia. One store would copy another store's look, merchandise and concept. Usually, an expat will start a really cool concept store and a rich local would copy the concept. Ganun.

This Nike reminds me of this Balenciaga shoes.

Checked out the menswear section and I didn't find much that excited me.

This D&G jacket is okey but not really exciting.

C'N'C by Costume National has this shirt with a curved cut hem. The fabric is nice, sportswear inspired, with the airmesh fabric details. It's okey to buy but I found another cool shirt which I bought eventually.

The buy at Ambre

I've been looking for a cool waistcoat for the longest time here in Cambodia. I've got one from Henrik Vibskob and I've been using it to dust. So I 'need' it talaga.

They have two styles that I like. This one is like a tuxedo type waistcoat. Japanese wool and silk satin lining. Mahalia Jackson, as what would Ms. Chuvaness say. Hehehe!

This is another style which is much more common yung design. The price is ok and it still uses a less expensive Japanese wool and the same silk satin lining.

I'l be using it a lot and abusing it so I opted to get this.

Antik antics

I was feeling kinda under the weather last Tuesday so I opted not to go to work rather than just be un-inspired. Loven decided to cheer me up and asked me to go with him to visit this antique place where he bought some of the stuff we use at home. So we drove a bit like 15 minutes and then i saw it.

The place is a haven for old wood stuff. I mean even the shopkeeper looks antique.

In the evening Mike and the gang YM'd me.

We chatted about their plans of coming here and maybe doing a show.

It really made my day. It was almost 11pm when we stopped chatting.

Near midnight I got hungry so I cooked some couscous. You know, something 'light'.

Then I was craving for some scrambled eggs with tomato

All fluffy and creamy.

Then I thoght why not do some spicy shrimp, I mean it's delicious.

And yeah, reheat the seafood noodle soup that Loven and Fate got me from Sokimex.

Winner! Anatomy of a light meal by a pseudo-dieter . It's no wonder I'm getting FAT, seriously!

Arty Saturday

Spent the whole morning in my bed. In the afternoon I promised a guest to accompany her around town to check the many art galleries. We covered the nice ones, Gallery Wa, One Shop, McDermott, FCC, Red Gallery, Alliance Cafe, Art House and French Cultural Center. I think she was exhausted but satisfied with our little art walk.

They just opened 2 weeks ago. Lots of nice, pop, colorful stuff.

It's been awhile since I've really been alone with no plans. I'm always schedule bound. It was nice walking around town all by myself. Na-miss ko ang ukay promise!

They do have some nice hand printed graphic skirts and stuff.

More stuff. I liked one silvery gray top but alas the bottom part of the shirt was kinda tight.

Definitely high season when people are still shopping at almost 11pm!

Freedom's noisy gift

Freedom got a cheesy toy from a friend of his parents. It makes this really ugly noise. Horrible!

Here he is hastily opening the gift. I guess, the boy got irritated of the sound so he abused it like any normal 2 year old would do. It broke. Now we can live in peace!
