Pho Pho my fave

For the price and good taste of the food, Pho pho is definitely my fave and tops the spot. Forget the ambiance of the resto because they wouldn't know what it is. It is just a typical resto which is just a notch higher than a carinderia back home. Go there if you are craving for some Chinese/Asian inspired dishes like Tom yam, or dishes involving crabs and shrimps. They also have Khmer dishes which I haven't tried because it has pork and meat. So what did we order?

kangkong stir fry and tom yam soup. I love the tom yam, the best I've tasted here so far. My friend Marichel and Butz would totally dig this.

garlic crabs and fish with chili sauce. Hey Bo Parcon you should try this when you visit me here.

Segafredo coffee. Totally reminded us of Greenbelt sitting outside having coffee and bumping into designer friends like Gian Romano and Tina Daniac (mga laman ng malls) always.

Fate and Loven, my conspirators in lounging and dining out. Look at those ugly curtains at the back. Scary!

Well what happened today...

Talked to Maei, our French-Japanese friend

Then I thought of taking pictures of The Arts Lounge.

The projection

Had dinner at Meric. Ate this squid pasta...

and the Khmer salad (a tad salty for my taste, though)

Meric is nice to have dinner.

And also the Belgian chocolate guy talked to me and Cassandra about chocolates.

I totally forgot his name. Um, well, sorry, probably next time when I see him I'll ask his name again.

This time at PP

Um, I went to phnom penh over the weekend. Got to meet Pinoys who I call PLU's or People Like Us, you know in terms of mindset, fashion, outlook and sensibilities. they are my friends now. They love ukay like me (very big bonus points) and they are so nice and so fun and so nakakaloka! What is funny though is that we are just one degree of separation from each other but I've known each one of them separately before realizing that we all know each other. Or that they know somebody I know back home. And we didn't come from the same places back home ha. Basta it's funny...

This latest trip to phnom penh was so much better than before. I went ukay hunting and I found amazing pieces that really shocked me. We tried new places. We were just discovering the city in such an unhurried pace unlike before where I literally had to cram this and that into my schedule and totally forget how to enjoy. This time it was just like discovering it for the first time.

I will blog about...
