Art Lounge add-on

For the current Melting Motion exhibit, we decided to add three 1.5x4 m pp synthetic reproductions of the ice photography being shown. It totally made the whole space quite more artsy.

The Arts Lounge is a large space and I'm still learning how to utilize its qualities.

Our engineering guys who helped me execute our vision.

Most of the time they don't understand what I'm saying but they have no complains when I ask them to redo something.

The one in white is Soe Tint who is the head of our Engineering department. Cool guy.

Lunch at Meric

Had lunch with Andrea and David at Meric.

Anyway she ordered Chicken Ceasar Salad which I would also order if I'm not vegetarian.

The beautiful bread plate which was calling to me but I didn't touch coz I'm on this strict 'ban-carbo' diet.

For dessert she had the seasonal fruits.

And this is David.

He ordered steamed veggies. Very healthy...

and steak. Um, I'm not sure about this. But it looks juicy...

Diet food

Some of the food I've been eating recently. Since I'm limiting my carbs intake I opted to take my carbs during breakfast which usually just a piece of croisant. Most of the time it's just salad or fish amok for me. I'm still struggling to remove rice from my diet but I'm just 2 weeks succesful from it. I don't know how long can I last with the rice ban.

But alas the only thing we can eat there is amok and this bamboo shoot dish. everything they serve is mostly chicken or pork. So we transferred...

At this Italian resto, um Ristorante Italiano Pizzeria or something



The interior. We sat outside.

Delicious bruchetta...

but this simple pasta dish was so disappointing. How can something so easy to make be so ugly to eat. It lacked flavor, the pasta was beyond chewy and it was dry like eating saw dust. I hated it so much that I didn't finish it.

At least they have this divine turroncino ice cream

It's just strange though seeing the waiters wearing Mexican ponchos in an Italian resto.

This is the first restaurant where I had dinner when I came here in Siem Reap last year. Loven treated us that time and he treated us this time again. The prices are kinda expensive so we are lucky he is feeling very generous as always.

Léscale is done beautifully with a fountain and an open air areas.

The interior can only be described as French Khmer, with traditional Khmer touches mixed with French furnishings. It's very cozy, I think.







Fish from the lake done 5 ways. I ordered this and it was good. The amok fish has grounded peanuts which made it crunchy, the fish soup with pineapple has that tangy sweet flavor, the fried fish was crispy, the fish roll fresh and the grilled fish smoky. The portioning is on the smallish size though so it is a bit expensive. I think the set goes for $28, excluding the drink. mahal no?

Crab soup something. Strange how the spring roll is much bigger than the soup.
