I've been doing more neutral designs lately and quite a departure from the spring/summer pieces. I'm gathering ideas for the pieces I'm doing for fall/winter 09.
The holiday collection for Philippine Fashion Week 2009 will be end of May until first week of June. I've got 3 months to prepare what capsule collection to show. Here's two designs that I might show:
A jersey asymmetrical top with snap buttons paired with drawstring skirt.
The fold detail of the top.
I've been loving 'mumu' fashion lately. You know, something a contravida or horror character would wear.
This top has a lot of asymmetry going in the cut. It's made of linen/cotton blend fabric.
One sleeve is super droopy and kinda dramatic. It has cords that you can tie to adjust the fit of the top.
The other side has a deconstructed armhole. The cowl neckline can be draped in the front. It's a fun piece to manipulate. There's a wrinkled nylon/cotton dress underneath it that I'm not yet finished with the details.
