In Siem Reap, theres a chanel of waterways and canals that supported the ancient civilazation of Angkor called the Barai. Remnants of the system still forms a vast area of the city and is still being used, to some extent, for transportation. These waterways were used to transport materials during the construction of one of the world's ancient megastructure, Angkor Wat and its complex of other stone temples. It has become a favorite picnic spots for locals and tourists alike. We road a boat to one of the 'islet' and what you see here are the images I took there. I plan to go back again because it's just so nice there.
