Hello there! Had dinner at Meric recently, Hotel de la Paix's uber chic contemporary Khmer restaurant.
For starters I had this sashimi grade tuna with calamari tataki and sesame citrus dressing. Abso-fucking-lutely delish! Naloka ako! Even those who don't eat sashimi will love this. No hint of fish smell, no yucky texture. Just a fantastic explosion of flavor in your mouth. Like a Bjork concert.
For my main I had this grilled local lobster on top of a gratin - a mixture of different veggies, with a spiced sauce around it. A hint of cinnamon, I'm guessing. Quiet intriguing in flavor and texture if you want something familiar yet exotic.
